01 What Trakinfo is
Trakinfo is a music-licensing lookup service for the Indian market. It catalogues recordings, compositions and performer rights administered by PPL, Novex, RMPL, IPRS and ISAMRA, and tells you which licences apply to which track for which kind of event.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Trakinfo Technologies Pvt. Ltd. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
02 What it is not
- Not a licence vendor. Buy licences directly from the relevant society — links on each track page take you there.
- Not legal advice. Edge cases, disputes, and bespoke commercial arrangements need a qualified IP lawyer.
- Not exhaustive. Niche regional labels and unreleased works may not be in the catalogue. Absence from Trakinfo is not proof a track is unlicensed.
03 Your account
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate registration information. One human per account. You are responsible for keeping your password safe; we'll never ask for it.
Pro and Agency plans permit named seat sharing within a single organisation only — credentials must not be sold, leased, or rotated through a pool of users.
04 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape or mirror the catalogue in bulk without a Pro/Agency API key and within its rate limits.
- Misrepresent Trakinfo's output as evidence of having paid a licence.
- Use the service to plan or facilitate copyright infringement.
- Probe, attack, or circumvent the security of the service.
API limits: Basic 0/min · Pro 60/min · Agency 600/min. Repeated violations result in throttling, then suspension.
05 Billing & cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Cancel anytime from your account — access continues to the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
All prices are in INR, exclusive of 18% GST. We issue GST-compliant tax invoices to the billing address on file. Failed payments trigger one retry after 72 hours; if it fails again, the account drops to Basic.
06 Data & catalogue accuracy
We sync with the public catalogues of PPL, Novex, RMPL, IPRS and ISAMRA on a weekly basis. Disputed-status changes propagate within 24 hours. We strive for accuracy but make no warranty that any specific entry is current, complete, or free of error.
If you spot an inaccuracy, report it to catalogue@trakinfo.in and we'll investigate within 5 business days.
07 IP & ownership
Trakinfo's catalogue, interface, code and brand are owned by us or our licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service. You retain ownership of your own data — compilations, notes, account details — and can export them at any time.
The names PPL, Novex, RMPL, IPRS and ISAMRA are trademarks of their respective owners and used here for identification only.
08 Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trakinfo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including fines, royalties, or settlements imposed on you for music licensing decisions made using or despite our service. Our aggregate liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period.
This does not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
09 Termination
You may close your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your access ends; we retain billing records as required by law (see Privacy Policy).
10 Disputes & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first be raised in writing to legal@trakinfo.in; if unresolved within 30 days, they go to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
